Dry Bones
03:48
|
|||
Dry bones, a day comes when you'll wake
The day when the earth starts to shake
The flesh that you've lost be remade
And you'll stand
The four winds of earth breathe you life
And a relight the fire in your eyes
You will leave your graves behind
And we'll scream

Into the Sun
03:28
|
|||
When we fly into the sun
It won't be the fire that we thought it was
All our darkness turn to light
It will be like all our lives before were blind
Long dark shadows turn to glow
In that unearthly light that no earthly man has known
Long lost friends we'll find alive
It will be like meeting them for the first time
Hold on now, I will meet you in the air
Our burdens be lifted off us there
There'll be no more heavy loads
Just peace we've never known
And there will be no more death or pain
Our infirmities be washed away
Our weak and weary frames will be remade
When our towers come undone
We will not be overcome

Pomegranate
06:26
|
|||
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
I once was lost but now I'm not sure what I've found
But there are things I once believed
I thought I'd've died for, now they make no sense to me
I found a page I'd filled with named
But there were three or four I couldn't place
And I know that everything must change
But You? You stay the same
Be Thou my Vision, Lord of Lords
My hiding place, my solid ground throughout the storms
When everything should fall apart
Thou and Thou only hold my heart
They say "eat the fruit, spit out the seeds"
But this seems more pomegranate than tangerine
So strip my hands from every worthless thing
Leave the Nazarene
Be Thou my vision, Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me save that Thou are

Bright
05:59
|
|||
waiting on the side of the road. the sun shines on me and i
hold my hand up to my eyes to guard the shine, because it's too bright
i can't look at it straight. the light's too bright for me
o my God, is this how it will be?
never looking at You straight? i can't see straight. will i ever see You straight?
the Light shined in the darkness. the dark did not understand
when the Light shined in my darkness, I covered my eyes with my hands
will I see You with my eyes open?
Will You still be the red behind my lids?

Babel
04:46
|
|||
at the top of the tower of Babel
high above removed from the rabble
of the crowds down below down streets as they'd go
speaking in tongues words i've never known
when the flood waters came, i watched them rise
as i sank underneath, i was baptized
when i lost my breath, i turned to greet death
met the jaws open wide of a great fish instead
but i could not find You there
spat out on the banks of the Jordan. met the Baptist but ignored his warning
i'm a serpent inside of a tomb that's washed white hiding all of my dead and dry bones deep inside
i've got to find the end of myself. got to find the place where I end and You begin

Safe
03:18
|
|||
when all the works of man shall come undone
the wicked and unjust shall turn and run
but He who made the world still knows my name
so i won't fear the fire at end of days
i am safe
when wars and rumors rise
i won't be caught by surprised
the ground on which i stand shall not give way
so i won't fear the fire at end of days
i am safe

Solid Ground
05:53
|
|||
Set my feet on the solid ground, I'll stand, stand firm
Build my house on the mountain's top, I'll stand, stand firm
I won't build on the swirling sand that sweeps away
Set my feet on the solid ground, I'll stand always
Let the rainstorm come, I will stand firm
Let the whirlwind come, I will stand firm
Let the wildfire come, I won't get burned
Let the earthquake come, I will stand firm

Mountain
03:19
|
|||
if the mountain fell into the sea, what would it mean to me?
would it crush my head? would i find a new place to sleep?
will the seas rise up and sweep our towns away?
will the oceans boil and the steam rise into space?

Son of Man
04:41
|
|||
i dreamed i saw a beast with seven heads
the waters churned and boiled underneath his steps
and all the kings of men, they bent the knee
"oh, son of man, what do you see?"
i dreamed i saw four horsemen riding forth
the four winds of the earth plot out their course
and all the men of earth, they begged for death
oh, it didn't come to them
i dreamed i saw a Man with Seven Crowns
the sun and moon and stars all gathered round
every knee bowed down and tongue confessed
oh, and He made us blessed
